Well,

this time I am too stupid for this. Can somebody please tell me, how to add a blog to match with the one on the demo page?

In my case the picture wont fit (-> see attachment).

This is only the case within the blog preview (overview). If I hit the readmore button the blog shows just like the demo does.

The theme (right now) assume your image field for the blog is named field_blog_picture. It should work out of the box if your field has that name. I'm working on making this more general. Shouldn't be too complicated to do. I'll update here.
