The purpose of this module is to provide an easy and ready to use integration between drupal and alexa.
The module is structured in:
- a configuration section that allows drupal to generate the interaction model (drupal generates an archive with the lambda, the models and the skill.json)
- a responder controller that allows drupal to respond to alexa requests
- Skills, Intents and Synonyms treated as configuration entities
- The oauth2 optional integration allows you to easily manage authenticated intents
Some of the advantages of using “alexa skill manager” for an alexa integration are the following:
- you don’t need to setup your own lambda function, you already got a standard one
- you can deploy a standard alexa skill without writing code, but only with configuration and following a standard procedure
- custom slots and synonyms are automatically generated by drupal to provide a better interaction model.
- you can change answers provided by your alexa skill directly from drupal
