Looking forward to core: Drupal.checkMarkup

I'd really like for you to help support a check_markup() jQuery function in core with #586098: Add a core Drupal.checkMarkup() function like check_markup(). Possibly you could rework this to add a Drupal 6 version of Drupal.checkMarkup which this function then extends or implements? That way any modules that use/require this one will have less upgrade pains when updating to Drupal 7.
