bojanz commentedHi, there's already an open issue with a patch for Russia: #1665788: Add administrative areas for Russian regions.
Please review it, compare to your data, post a comment indicating whether it is good or needs further changes.

dd 85 commentedIn the subject on which you are given a link, the issue of States (Region) of Russia.
I wanted to draw attention to the fact that Russian is not enough address fields and led them in the right order. See image.
For example, the absence of a field for patronymic is critical.
bojanz commentedThe solution for the patronymic is to always use the "name_line" instead of individual "first_name" and "last_name" plugins.
This will give the customer one line in which they can enter the patronymic, first name, middle name, last name, or whatever else is relevant to the current culture.
You are right that we need to pay attention to the field order.
I will ensure that Russian addresses follow the same order which Google defines for Android: https://github.com/commerceguys/addressing/blob/master/resources/address...

dd 85 commentedNo google and the resulted RU.json are not ideal.
Here's a link to the fields, which provides Russian Post

dd 85 commentedTo complete all three components of the name in one field inconvenient. This limits the ability to use this information in some cases. For example, when referring to a person using the name and middle name, no last name.

Module architecture doesn't allow us to add any additional name fields, so it's not something we can fix.
Thanks for the link. Looking at it, it seems that it's still proscribing the old major-to-minor format (start with the country, end with the name).
Google's dataset had that, but a recent update switched to minor-to-major (start with the name, end with the country), probably to match
the official recommendation by the Universal Postal Union:
http://www.upu.int/fileadmin/documentsFiles/activities/addressingUnit/ru...
I was told that the new format is definitely becoming more common (and it matches the switch made in Ukraine as well). Do you have any information regarding that?
dd 85 commentedAt the beginning or end of the name is not important. In PDF for instructions if you write by hand.
For web-forms to collect information on the main address the presence of all components of the address. To this should be made for each individual component of the address field, as shown in the pictures attachments.
Is it possible to simultaneously display "name_line", "first_name" and "last_name"? This would enable the field for all three components of the name.
bojanz commentedYou can write a custom plugin that adds a patronymic field, and store it in the first_name column (with a separator).
So you store "$patronymic;$first_name", and on display explode the value, and show both values in appropriate places.

bojanz commentedBtw, looks like https://www.drupal.org/project/addressfield_title might help you?
