Installation
Copy the activitystream/ directory to your sites/SITENAME/modules directory.
Enable the module and configure it at user/#/edit/activity-stream.
View the site-wide activity stream at activity-stream.
View the per-user activity stream at user/#/activity-stream.
See "Adding more services" for how to integrate another service.
These instructions are not correct for Drupal 6. In fact, if you go into the Activity Stream settings under Site Configuration, the only options available are to set the title and description. Under the Activity Stream block, there are also no options.
To bottom line it, there is no way to setup the feeds/Social Media channels in Drupal 6. Additional modules including Feed, Twitter, etc. also have been enabled for this. Am I missing something here, or is this a serious issue with this module?

byarbrough commentedUpdate on this (for other users):
The links provided are incorrect - you can setup individual user activity feeds (under user/[number]/edit/activitystream - not activity-stream), however, there is still no way that I can find to setup the block feeds.

I apologize for multiple posts back-to-back, but this should help other users:
1) After installing module, add your streams to the admin user settings page (click edit - Activity Streams, add feeds)
2) Run cron to pull in your streams
3) Streams will now be visible in the Activity Stream block and user/[number]/activitystream
