As of now, you need to visit an acknowledgment and you can add multiple users to that acknowledgment.

However, is there a way to have it be so that multiple acknowledgments can be assigned to a user?

No, now there is no way to do what you say.
Note that the users addition of is an extra feature... anyway I'll see if I can implement it as you say.
