How can I change the default content type name? Basically, when I click on "recent addittions" it shows "acidfree album" under type. How can I change that to Photo Album?
It's not that I don't like the name of the module it's just that my users don't know what it is. They ask, what does "Acidfree" mean?

vhmauery commentedThe skinny of it is that you can't change the name. I have had one previous request for this same thing. Basically, the way Acidfree was architected, it only defines one node type, which sometimes makes it a little strange when everything is called Acidfree Media. But I like the name and I am going to stick with it.
From the Acidfree manual:

JasonDugmore commentedHey, peanut! I got rid of all mention of acidfree. You remove it from the menu, a couple of changes in the .module file and a quick trim and replace on the title in the page template. It is messy but works well. Thanks for the module, but the name 'acidfree' is sucky and it doesn't work for clients. I know you like it, but no one else on planet earth likes it. please consider changing (My tone is reflective of the pain it took to remove mentions of acidfree). Otherwise great work on the module!!!!!!!

vhmauery commentedpain? Try using sed. I am pretty sure that with 2 regexes, you could replace every instance. Or, the drupal appropriate way would be to use the locales module and translate the strings that contain Acidfree.
Sorry that nobody likes the name. Just remember that I didn't write it for you, I wrote it for me and thought that others might like it; so I shared it. I think the name is fantastic. Super great, even. If your clients don't like it, well, that isn't my problem because I am not getting a cut of your client's fees.

nancydruTake it easy, Vernon. There's nothing wrong with the name "Acidfree." I kind of like it too, but then I am also an amateur photographer. This kind of complaint hits almost all module developers. People need to learn that content type names can't be changed willy-nilly unless it's a type they developed with CCK.
