Just added a mission statement, and the white text on the dark background is IMO a little bright. Could be better if it was the same shade of grey as for the footer message.

I think that the mission statement should, for readability reason, be way more easy to read than the footer text, that is usually there for legal reasons.
I'll keep the actual setting for now and let users edit the css if needed.

no probs - having it in italics makes the text darker. A little too dark, but I want to wait a while before making any theming changes - I plan on making the links ("Add New Comment", "Read more" etc etc) right aligned and below the content, but I may til after there is a full stable release on here ( by which I mean not-a-dev, but a 1.0.)
