On /admin/structure/media/manage/video/display when setting up Able Player, the default from Drupal provides a "Playback Controls: Visible" setting which is enabled by default.

This adds a separate control set to the video window which is confusing.

Set either to hidden by default or remove entirely as it can cause confusion.
