This is the second time this has happened to me. When making color changes in the configure page for Abarre, when I click Save Configuration the checkboxes still show that Abarre is default & enabled theme, but the site's theme changes to Zen. (at least it appears to match Zen)

All I did this morning was to change the link color and click Save Configuration. It happened for the 2nd time. But the last time, I was able to replace the entire Abarre folder inside sites/all/themes and it fixed the problem.

I am not sure if I did something wrong or if this is a real bug. I sure wish the Drupal site had separate discussion forums for each project!! I could not find a "Discuss Abarre" link on this page so I am posting this as a bug report.

I am attaching a screenshot of what my home page at http://ade.pt looks like with Abarre selected. Yes, I cleared my browser cache and forced a reload off the web server .... and this was after disablilng every other theme including Zen.

Help?? I had to change my theme to Chameleon, and I had just finished putting together some sort of branding for my site using Abarre, which I love. Thanks in advance for either confirmation of the problem or some pointers as to where I may have gone wrong.

ok, this may have had something to do with permissions and it sure would be nice if someone could point me to where on the vast Drupal site is the list of exactly what the permissions of all folders & files in a default installation are supposed to be.

meanwhile, if i had programming skills i would be so happy to help out with this theme but it's a little unnerving that i'm apparently completely on my own if i use this theme ...

thanks, it's good looking. but not for the average drupal user, i'd recommend it only for people who are drupal experts.... maybe i can call myself that some day!

Wow, look at you being all mad.
Obviously, your problem is not related to the theme, but to your host. I'd suggest checking your memory allowance or something like that. I don't think being a drupal expert will help in any way to fix this.
I hope Zen helps you relax a bit.

good luck

hi couzinhub, i was not at all mad! just a little frustrated that the drupal site does not include project or theme-specific discussion areas, so i did not know where to turn for help.

here's a smiley, maybe i left it out :-)

it had nothing to do with memory. I went back to scratch and completely reinstalled drupal, then reinstalled the theme and set up permissions according to some page i found somewhere. i believe when I submitted the new color for links in the abarre-config color options page the code was trying to edit some doc that had incorrect permissions.

which is why i was wishing for an easy-to-find page that explains exactly what the permissions should be on all files in a drupal install. A site search on "file permissions" turns up a gazillion hits so it's hard to find this info.

I got the theme working again at ade.pt -- i love your theme & did not mean to piss you off, sorry!
