Remote update status checking for D7 & D6 sites built in. This means that you can use prod_mon on a D7 site to remotely check updates on a D6 site with prod_check 6.x-1.x as well as a D7 site with prod_check 7.x-1.2!
So you need to upgrade prod_check to 7.x-1.2 for this to work on D7!
