Great module. I have relied on it heavily for my drupal 6 sites. I want to ask if the developers are working on an Excerpt for Drupal 7. I think that would be great.

I have noticed that Drupal 7 has built in feature that does the work Excerpt done wonderfully for Drupal 6.

The question that remains, though, is about upgrade path. I have big Drupal 6 sites that rely on Excerpt. Do you think that the upgrade process to Drupal 7 will go smoothly. Is there a reason to worry that the excerpt fields will get lost in the upgrade process ?!

I have upgraded to Drupal 7. As I see it, there is no need to port this module. Drupal 7 allows the editing of the short text. Upgrade process went smoothly, no teaser contents lost.
