It would be great for IPE to piggy back on the pre-existing contextual admin links that we have by default.
So instead of just being to able to edit the settings of the panes we should also allow the option of editing of the menu, block content, node content, etc.

I have created a proof of concept with some super quick code. It basically takes any admin links in the pane and puts them into the 'linkbar' in the IPE pane. I have attached a screenshot.

I like IPE but think it should be more integrated with the other, non-panel editing operations. It would be great in D7 if we could get some integration with the new contextual links (http://drupal.org/node/473268).

Also, being able to pick a stylizer style would be cool for ipe. Could these just be a dropdown option under settings?

Some more features are in IPE for D7, but they aren't coming back to D6 version.
