disabled pageroute menu items aren't deleted when pageroute is

If I create a pageroute "test", then I will have a menu item "test" added to the menu in my navigation block. If I decide I don't want the menu item to be visible, I can edit the menu and disable "test" (though I can't delete it). If I later delete the "test" pageroute, and then go back to my menu settings, "test" is still shown as a possible menu item, but still is listed as disabled. If I then click reset for menu item "test", it is deleted automatically.

I'm not sure if this is really a bug or just a byproduct of the drupal menu system, but in case it's a bug I thought I would let you know about it.
