I need reporting of browsers by month for one site so ran up this change. In the process I moved the report out to an inc so the .module load is smaller. They probably should be separate changes but the second was a by product of the first so they are lumped together.

I think the next change would be to report only the last 12 or 6 months in the monthly report.
