Add Uzbek to l.d.o

Do you know of any existing efforts? Do you have others to team up with?

Looks like it would be great to work together. Is that right that Uzbek does not have plural variants? I'm seeing nplurals=1; plural=0 would be the right rule for Uzbek. Is that right?

Yes, it will be right. In Uzbek language plural form (nplurals=1; plural=0) will be correct.

As per discussion on #1060824: Add Uzbek to l.d.o, it looks like you are actively using the drupaler.ru translation server which most teams left for localize.drupal.org. Let me know if you ever decide to move to localize.drupal.org or want to work on drupaler.ru.

I will also get some people working on translating Drupal, but note that we need Drual 6 translation now.

Do you have any contact with the team working on drupaler.ru? Trying to minimize duplicate work and work in vain...

As I see in 2010 & 2011 they've sent issues for creating Uzbek group.
They are also admins and top translators on drupaler.ru.

1) As we see nobody has done anything last years.

@gasanovfm: also are you still interested or should we go with Ahrorbek Turgunov who opened the new issue? I am sorry this issue was not acted on sooner, it was in a postponed state and you may not have known to move it to active when you responded. Sorry for not being responsive on our side.

@gasanovfm, what kind of problems we have to develop Uzbek translation?
And one more thing, please give attention, initial suggestions were based on cyrillic alphabet. But what I'm suggesting is Uzbek translation based on latin alphabet (as it is formal uzbek language writing system). So, problems with 4 national symbols (Ў, Қ, Ғ, Ҳ - as stated above comments) will be solved easily!

No feedback. Why are we waiting 5 years for feedback?

@hass: why not? Is it a better message that we are not interested in Uzbek to be added to l.d.o? What does closing this request serve? Leaving it here at least provides a way for someone else to find like-minded people who were at least interested to contribute earlier. Hiding it away does not really help anything. We have a perfectly capable system to filter issues by category and status. You can easily ignore new language requests if you personally don't care about them.

if I translate all texts in CMS how could I upload the .po file onto Drupal.org?

Reading the abovementioned comments I must add my opinions. At present, We, Uzbek folks are using two alphabet -Cyril and Latin. Thus should be better if we consider the Latin one too.
