My clean install of Managing News 1.1 seems to be a bit buggy, as some core features aren't working.
For instance, in the Feeds view, the Share and Remove post functions do not work. Also, the "add to channel" icon is not visible in this view either. (Was this feature deprecated?)
I'm wondering if these issues are related to the fact that my install appears to have some core feature conflicts. For example, the MN Core feature is in the Overridden state, as it has a conflict with Feeds News. (see screen caps as attachments.)
Any suggestions on how to get past these issues? I'd love to get it working -- it's exactly what I've been looking for.
Thanks in advance!

Will White commentedHi gdiddy,
The "Add to channel" button was removed a few versions ago. Can you post more details about what else is breaking and how? The warning about mn_core being overridden is a known issue, but it's not causing any further issues as far as we know. Finally, the MN Core does conflict with feeds_news, but this isn't affecting anything because feeds_news is not enabled.
Thanks,
Will

gdiddy commentedGot it, thanks, Will! Just wanted to be sure that I didn't need to troubleshoot it further. I can make the current version work for my needs. (It's a great project -- exactly what I've been looking for. My Yahoo pipes feed aggregation system doesn't have the elegance or flexibility as Managing News.)
BTW, I got the info about the "Add to channel" button from the video on the Managing News website here: http://managingnews.com/about
I'm sure that this is a project with quite a distributed team of developers and volunteers, but it would be great if the promo materials weren't so out of date. If only so that you don't have to waste time responding to inquiries like mine.
Anyway, not your problem really, but many thanks for your help.
cheers, Gary

Thanks for flagging that video. I should record a new one soon.
