Video file from CCK embedded video field with custom URL as provider does not play.

I have a content type with a cck embedded video field. I did not select a particular provider so I should be able to add URL's for every provider. I use the Mediafront media player with a player preset without playlist to show the video in full node view.

This works fine for youtube and vimeo, but when I enter a custom url with a path to any video file on an external server, the file does not play in osmplayer. Could this have anything to do with zzz-custom-url being the provider?

I tried the same outside of Drupal, calling the OSMplayer in a simple PHP file as in your example on the Mediafront site.

Actually, this (http://www.mediafront.org/documentation/osm-player/osmplayer-php) doesn't work for me as well. Only audio here, unless I use a playlist.xml as parameter instead of file, then it works.
In my Drupal site I'm showing osmplayer without playlist as well.
