I have some firep() calls in my computed field code, along with some other similiar areas; but am finding that firep() calls within node saving processing not making it into the result (node view) page. I've also tried to output with Watchdog and Chuck Norris, but no luck.

Is there something I'm doing wrong - or is this by design?
