It happened every time I wanted to edit a node.

The watchdog says
`access denied 03/11/2006 - 7:08pm node/23/edit denied access.
Anonymous view'

Its like the web browser or the login system disconnects whenever you want to submit node or changes to node. It says `anonymous' whereas I am logged in as the admin user/1.

FYI this is a subdomain Drupal 4.7.3 site.

Why it happens now..... I have had many content, but when trying to update an article, this problem occurs.

Is it webhosting problem, Drupal problem, or some modules conflict? Thanks in advance.

To me it does seem to be a web hosting problem if the problem occured suddenly. I suspect that clean urls may be a factor? Did you recently turn that on.

I'm going to help you by putting this issue in the proper queue.

Thanks cosmic :)

Actually the problem was a year ago

Anyway, i think anybody who uses Firefox and has the habit of opening many tabs and windows and logged in to several Drupal and other sites, will get this error

I think its browser feature - for safety also, if i am logged in to several and i think i am posting to a site whereas actually it is a different site i am intend to post, then opppsss it says `access denied'

The workaround is to re-login or `clear authenticated sesion' or just stick to one site logged-in

The danger is that the user doesnt save his work (text) in desktop notepad or editor, so if he gets the access denied, he will lose all the text he typed in
