does exactly as it says on the tin (title)

the module doesnt appear in the module listing when placed in the modules folder current CVS drupal 5.xx

just tried it with a fresh version of front page (Drupal 5 CVS) and a fresh download of Drupal 5 (cvs) and it worked for me. It appears under the SITE CONFIGURATION options.

Suggest you make sure you are downloading the CVS version of Front page and reopen if you're still having problems.

forgot to mention..it appears in the modules list (admin/build/modules) for me under UNCATEGORIZED.
