as pointed out in a forum post, http://drupal.org/node/87097, we desperately need some good docs for project module and friends. it's pretty hard to setup, configure, and use out of the box if you're not already a power-user of drupal. any time spent documenting how it all works, what each of the pieces do, etc, would be very well spent, and would help other sites try to use project. the more sites that are using it, the more likely we'll get other folks involved in testing, developing, and improving it, which in turn benefits drupal itself.
sadly, i'm too swamped now with the final push to get the new release system done, and then updating all my modules to the 5.x API. however, if anyone else wants to start by adding some child pages of http://drupal.org/handbook/config/contribmodules for project and project_issue, that'd be fantastic.
i'll certainly be writing/updating a lot of docs to get the new release system in place, but there's a lot more to project and friends than that, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

I'll start in today. No promises of anything big, but a start.

nedjoThe beginnings of documentation are here: http://drupal.org/node/114618. Please add and edit. I may find time to do more, but I'm unassigning myself as I don't have a great grasp on the current state of things.

aclight commentedI updated the child pages of http://drupal.org/node/114618 and tried to give especially detailed instructions on how to set up the project/project_release vocabularies to work right.
Any suggestions are welcome.

dww@aclight: Looks great, thanks! Please keep it coming with any other doc improvements you can make. Woot.

aclight commentedThere's a good "user experience" story at http://drupal.org/node/192982 which describes some places where the documentation could be improved.
Furthermore, in http://drupal.org/node/192982#comment-634068 (same issue) there's a list project module documentation tasks I just created that would improve things greatly.
