we have a group structure like
-Company
--Sales
--Technical
--Human Resource
--- Recruitment
i created group called "Company" and another group called Sales, I clicked on sales group, and then subgroups. there i chose "Company" as parent and clicked set subgroups.
it displays "The subgroup has been set." but again when i clicked on the subgroups in the same group it was showing "top level".
so this means its not saved!.? and in sub group block its showing only "sales". and when i click on Company group, instead of showing sales it shows "Company" in sub group block.?
what may be the problem..?

bschilt commentedI was able to create the hierarchy that you described above with no issues. I've attached a screen shot for you to take a look at. Please download a new copy of 6.x-1.x-dev branch and see if the problem continues. Maybe I don't quite understand the problem at hand.

cwgriesel commentedI had the same problem -- subgroups weren't "sticking" when I chose them and saved the group. I fixed it by uninstalling og_subgroups and then re-installing it. (go to admin/build/modules, uncheck og_subgroups, save, go to admin/build/modules/uninstall, check og_subgroups, click uninstall, then go back to admin/build/modules, check og_subgroups, click save.) This might work for you too.
