When trying in a view to show a list of siblings that have the same node reference value (the same parent), is something like this module also needed?
All my tests have only create lists of a repeated link to the parent equaling the number of nodes that have that id in their nodereference.
I have found it difficult to get views to put out the title of those nodes instead of just showing the node reference value of them.

This is something that can be done without this module. All you need to do is add a filter by the node reference field itself.
You could also go a bit more further (also without this module). You could add a relationship to the view using the one provided by the node reference field itself, then you can add filters by any field in that relationship.
If I understood you well, this kind of queries can be resolved without this module.

Trunkhorn commentedTo be sure, let me give an example. Let's say I am on a node that has a reference to a parent. I would like to show a block on this node that lists all other nodes that have the same parent as this node.
I have not found the correct combination of argument and relationship that can do that. That's what made me think of this module because it is displaying the titles of nodes that have the same value in their node reference field.
Thanks for any guidance you can give!

markus_petrux commentedWell, this module merely implements one kind of relationship. It does not do anything else by its own, and you do not need this module to do what you want.
You just need a view with an argument and regular node reference fields. First create the view, then add the relationship for the node reference you need, then add an argument by the nid of the node referred by those node reference fields.
Once you're there, you need to implement a method to invoke that view from the node page, and you first need to find the parent nid prior to executing and rendering that view.
All this stuff is out of the scope of, and not related to, this module.

Trunkhorn commentedExcellent, thank you for clarification.
I was thinking that it would possibly be another module as an alteration of this module, but the purpose would be to cover that part that you mentioned "need to implement a method to invoke that view from the node page" which I assume is code and not something that views presents to us itself.
Do you have an idea which module's maintainers whom I should suggest some sort of views handler to cover this? Node reference?
Many thanks again.
I'm just trying to easily fill in the nodereference blanks in terms of displays. View parent from children > Node Reference. View children from Parent > Reverse Node Reference (many thanks for releasing this)! View a child's siblings from the child's page > ?
Would a view handler be a good idea for such a thing?
