A couple of reasons why I wonder whether I Can Localize should be on the Drupal Planet...
- No specific Drupal Planet tag
- Trademark issues with the domain? (drupal-translation.com)
- Frequent content that may not be relevant to the wider drupal community.

Obviously the last is debateable and a matter of opinion. I couldnt find the original issue to add them.

My 2 cents:

- The "Planet-specific tag" requirement is for new additions to Planet only; blogs that pre-date the requirement are grandfathered in.
- The webmaster's team is not responsible for enforcing the Drupal trademark. Drupal trademark violation reports should be filed at http://www.drupal.com/trademark
- Translation and localization issues are relevant to a wide number of Drupal users around the world.

Just to explain more fully my point on relevance - the posts dont seem to me to be about translation and localization as a whole, but about the translation management module (30 users).

Perhaps if we could ask for the planet specific tag even retrospectively, then the major articles that would be useful for the wider community could be published to the planet, and those who are interested in this specific area could check the blog themselves.

I will follow up the trademark issue directly (of interest to me in particular as I´ve had to go to considerable effort to comply with a similar domain).

@juliangb: If you look at http://drupal.org/node/811698/committers you'll see that the first pieces of code was contributed 2 weeks ago at this module. Not really surprising that there's only 30 users of this module as recorded by d.o I would say. IMHO at least try and let them get the word out about this new solution for managing translations. Their first beta release was just 9 days ago. I don't know the code/module (yet?) but I don't think it should be slammed so soon.

The site is updating and moving from our own product (and concept) to the new Translation Management module. This module is open, free to use and available for individuals and translation agencies to use.

Noted all those comments, sounds it would be OTT.

@icanlocalise, from above it isn´t a requirement for existing sites to use a drupal planet tag, but I think it would be very helpful it you could. Certainly I would be much more likely to read the posts if only the key ones were published to the planet. Thanks.

The latest post (http://drupal-translation.com/content/multilingual-drupal-jumpstarter-pa...) that got aggregated to the Planet is an ad. It would have been more worthwhile to have a post about what efforts or problems went into creating the jumpstarted package rather than just a list of features and a price.

Also, it doesn't seem that the feed is using a 'Drupal Planet' tag at all, so now I'm re-opening this because this is not the first time this has happened with this feed. I appreciate the work that I Can Localize is putting into translation improvements, but we really must require a 'Drupal Planet' tag now from the feed. As I cannot find the original issue where it was requested to add the feed (looks like it was just added manually by another webmaster), I'm moving the feed to Drupal Talk temporarily until this can be fixed.
