Show Title for Empty Parent Node in Breadcrumb

I have a couple of top level menu items that link to child pages underneath them rather than to their own pages. I did this so that I could have top level navigation links that go to the first child page in the menu when they are clicked. The only problem with this is that they don't show up in the breadcrumb trail. Is there any way to get the top level menu item to appear in the breadcrumb? An example of what I mean can be seen in the Solutions section of www.trimara.ca - When you click the first page under "Solutions", you'll notice that "Solutions" doesn't appear in the breakcrumb.
