Hello quicksketch,

is it possible to have the same hook functionality you recently added to the select but to populate the option list for a grid? the other idea is to be able to put options in a grid field from a database query, using custom PHP.

This is a reasonable request but I have no timeline for implementing such functionality.

There won't be further feature development in the X.x-3.x branches. If there is renewed desire for this in the 4.x branch, please re-open.
