Thanks to all for this module!! It's taking shape nicely.

Some feature requests:

  1. AJAX support (see note 1, below)
  2. GEDCOM merge for sure
  3. GEDCOM file preview and edit before merge (am I dreaming here?)
  4. Display Suite support
  5. integration with Timeline module
  6. more blocks "out of the box" like siblings (eg x-cendants, birthdays, )
  7. Node Reference support (see note 2)
  8. Context support
  9. ImageCache support, and more media (see note 3)
  10. role based access to nodes (ie parent viewable nodes vs what a child should or can see)
  11. Organic Group support (one can see a lot of utility here
  12. support for flexible and non-standard family relationships (ie one individual with several partners through time, children from different parents, adoptions, children out of wedlock, etc)
  13. organization by events
  14. privacy for living individuals
  15. date display options (eg, turn off birth and/or death dates, family events, individual or family media, etc)
  16. integration with familysearch.org (the Mormons are important contributors in this space, so support for their needs is useful, like ordinances)
  17. duplicate record viewer and editor (perhaps through the Views module)

NOTE 1 - I've been able to import GED files with thousands of names and do some interesting things. But on a shared host this is death because the module sifts through thousands of nodes and quickly slows down Drupal to a crawl.

NOTE 2 - I use Node Reference to link media and stories to individuals, which seems important enough to make into a dependency for this module, assuming that entries will need to grow

NOTE 3 - ImageCache works great for this, and there are lots of other ways to make people's narratives come alive, like audio and video, events, published articles, etc
