Maybe I'm stupid or something, but if a quote doesn't have a title then there's no way (other entering the url manually) to edit it, right? Perhaps the module should use an invoke_nodeapi hook to add a dummy title in these cases.

You can edit nodes on the admin/node page if you have admin privileges. This is not a problem specific to quotes.
