FuXXz commentedThe same with my installation! Using Firefox 3.6!
IE and Opera works great!
libre fan commentedAh it must M$ then because I haven't noticed anything on Firefox 3.6 on GNU/Linux. Maybe I'm just blind or blinded by love for GNU/Linux ;-)
Cheers

mungbean commentedIm using Firefox 3.6 too and I have also tried Safari and the banners don't load at all nevermind rotate. The existing sites I have created using this theme (which I have customised) work fine. Im only new to this but I love this theme as it is so easy to customise and looks great. Any suggestions????

internets commentedSame with my install, also noticed the graphics issue behind the slogan and the main site title when hovered over. I've only been able to replicate the issue on Windows.
*edit*
I've also noticed it doesn't seem to be happening 100% of the time.
hojoeast commentedHas anyone found a solution to this problem? I've changed the priority from minor to normal, because I can't really have the wrong background behind the site title in the middle of the banner. I'm on Firefox 3.6.12. I have not tried IE, but I assume, based on the other comments, that this problem only exists on Firefox. Many thanks.
hojoeast commentedJust to add to my prior comment, I checked IE 8.0 and this problem is not present. So, it seems to be strictly a Firefox issue. BTW, the same issue appears with Firefox under XP and under Vista.
hojoeast commentedAs a follow-up to my two earlier comments, I checked the Marinelli Demo Site with FF 3.6 and it suffers from exactly the same problem. It would seem that upon encountering a hover above the site title, the background property is being invoked again and a new call is made to rotate.php. Rotate.php is then selecting the next image for the background, but this change only appears behind the site title.
tjharman commentedThis sounds like it might be a caching issue.
rotate.php has been working perfectly for me, no matter what browser or OS.
hojoeast commentedIt does seem like a caching issue. I've had my Drupal caching set to completely disabled, and also normal mode, page caching enabled, as well as css and java caching enabled. I've cleared Drupal cache and cleared FF cache. None of these things have changed the outcome. Have you any idea of what else I might do? Thanks.

tjharman commentedAre you sure that all your images have permissions set correctly?
Can you browse to the images manually?

hojoeast commentedSorry for taking so long to respond. Had some issues on my end which kept me away from Drupal. I tried your suggestion regarding the permissions and I had no trouble accessing the images directly. I also want to point out that I have this exact same problem with the Marinelli demo site. So, clearly, this problem is not unique to my site. I appreciate your help. Many thanks.
hojoeast commentedInterestingly enough, this problem goes away when you apply the solution described in drupal.org/node/915316. That solution deals with reducing bandwidth utilization with the marinelli theme. I thought it might also fix this problem so I applied the fix and lo and behold, problem fixed.

oadaeh commentedThis issue is being closed because it is against a branch for a version of Drupal that is no longer supported.
If you feel that this issue is still valid, feel free to re-open and update it (and any possible patch) to work with the 7.x-4.x branch.
Thank you.
