I use simplenews on 2 different websites.

On both websites I copied the simplenews-newsletter-footer.tpl.php in my theme folder. On one website the content from this template is executed but on the other one it's missing.

I don't get the "this is a test email" at the bottom when sending test emails, or the unsubscribe link.

What could be the problem?

Try the latest dev release. Don't use Admin as admin theme. Clear cache. Does the newsletter body template work?

Just tried this in the latest -dev and having the same issue.. the tpl.php file is in my theme, but it just doesn't load..

I am using Admin Theme though (theme Rubik if that matters), but there is no way I can switch away from that I'm afraid. Would be nice if you made this work with admin theme.

Check the other admintheme/theme issues and don't forget to clear the theme registry cache.
