I think that the product key can be applied only to the product, but not to the class.

Hi,

We had a discussion of this in personal e-mail. Could you explain how you plan to use product keys with a product class? Right now, this doesn't seem like a common use case.

Not sure if I am referring to same issue..

I cannot apply a product key to a product within a class.

e.g. I have created a product class called offer. I would like to apply the key to an offer (product within class 'offer')

or to put it another way.
It appears the product key option is only available on the node 'product' not the node of my new product class 'offer'.

Ok, that sounds like a problem and may indeed be the problem the original submitter was complaining about. I'll look into this.

I think I have a fix. Could you try out any dev release dated 3/5/10 or later and let me know if this fixes the problem?
