Hi, sorry for not clear.
I created a content type, which use book outline.
When I created note template page using panels,
I couldn't find widget to add book child,
just like by default under every book page.
While I can't speak directly to shadow's issue, a number of times I have wanted to include a panel (not a panel page) in a book outline. I can do this with a panel page, but I like the ability to create variants in a full panel, but if I do this, I lose the ability to outline in a book. Is this even possible?
The add book child link should appear as part of the Node: links block.
As for #3, it actually may be possible in the architecture to add pages to book outlines, but I'm not completely sure. It would require some significant coding effort, I think. You'll have to use panel nodes for that. :/
