Working on a new site for a local retail business.

The tagging of product names, product description data, and local cities served is probably most important taxonomy.

Would Calais help. There are no incoming RSS feeds, not sure if outgoing RSS would make much difference either.

There are drupal modules that will extract keywords from content and place as tags. These might be a best choice, because the keywords are specific.

Regardless, I want to help provide good SEO as possible so I thought it can't hurt to ask.

OpenCalais tagging can help you get better SEO. THe simple fact of having tags on your page and having those tags link to listings of content about the tag is generally a good approach to SEO.

There is a book called Drupal 6 Search Engine Optimization that covers OpenCalais and how it can help SEO. It is by Ben Finklea, a great read.
