Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
7.x-3.x is there for new development, and restructuring agreservations to make it more easy to implement
new and different workflow/booking modes (like hourly booking, daily booking, package booking, etc.),
by using at least some OOP methods.
better handling for translatable fields in this release, making use
of the field apis field_language function to determine allways the correct language code.
less errors, almost stable, and if you have already some experience with Drupal, you can use this module for building productive websites for hotel, b&b, car rental,... with online booking functionality, ubercart support, and an administrative backend for resource management(create resources, manage availability...).
Ubercart Product classes get succesfully registered automatically when installing the agreservations modules.
Not yet tested is the possibility to build multilingual sites that function with agreservations.
this is mostly the continuation of the 7.x-1.0-alpha5.
It has less bugs and has the agres_availability module.
There will be at least 3 betas in this 7.x-2.x trunk before rc1 and stable realease
will be out. This beta releases will be also included in an installation profile
that will let you set up agreservation rental sites quickly, it also makes
it possible to more quickly evaluate this software if you are just curious.
in the hopes my last bugfixes get packed into this alpha5 release.
the alphas 3 and 4 are not different than 7.x-1.0-alpha 2 due to
errors i made using git.
*edit* ok seems like the last errors fixes made it into this release.
mainly this are issues regarding display of the booking calendar of the
agres_views module.
This shall be a first version that
should be pretty stable, not all notice errors are solved,
but the version functions and can be used to develop patches for.
there is no upgradepath yet for version 6.x-4 to this 1. this
will probably change until rc1 which is planned for this year.
but If you start a new site, you should use this version and Drupal 7.
the 6.4 version makes sense only together with Ubercart!
It allows for defining categories(car, room, boat), unit types(single, double, luxus) and units(room #1, room#2,..).
You can can offer online booking (and payment) of your resources(units) and handle
"walk-in guest" booking(and payment). You can define restrictions together with timeframes,
You can define different rates like (highseason doubleroom, lowseason doubleroom etc.)
...All that now is missing is a detailed docu and an improved userinterface...
This version allows defining categories like cars, boats, rooms, apartments,...
It allows to define rates, it allows to define Unit types like, single, double, triple which
would be attached to category rooms by using nodereference.
it allows to create the actual units which are of a unit type which is of a certain category.
It is possible to add certain restrictions to single units, or to add restrictions globally.
The system supports online booking AND Receptionist/admin bookings(Walk-in guest booking).
the annoying sqlerror occuring when db_sql_rewrite was called should be gone in this version.
also everything is running more stable, there is more use of AHAH in the online search.
it just looks better than beta2 overall and has less bugs.
but still...alot of things to do. but i´m on it...with more time starting from september.
This is the first beta version. It should be used with caution! There are still errors that need fixing! Only install it on production sites if you know, what you are doing and are able
to fix occuring problems. This is a beta, meaning you are welcome to test this release and report errors in the issuequeue or even provide patches to fix them.
There is still a long road to go to turn this piece of code into a competitive solution...
