I would like to as for integration with the login module similar to thickbox or some advise how I could do it. I was looking at the thickbox module, but withut much of success

I tried to implement this a long time ago and failed. I know it is possible but can't afford the time to look into this myself. There is some discussion about using Shadowbox for forms in the official forum so you might have luck trying there:

Shadowbox 6.x is not opened for new features anymore. If anyone has a feature request for version 7 just report back.
