Nodereferrer field is not available into rules conditions and actions. It could be integrated with rules like node reference already does. Isn't a good idea?

Hi.. is there any workaround to change components of nodes when a change on a nodereferenced node occur?
In my case I have "Issues" and "Articles" content types with the second including a nodereference to the first and the first a nodereferrer CCK field back to the seconds.
My goal is that when I change the status of an issue to "published" all its article change status as well.
Any idea on how could I obtain such a behaviour?
