The outline.module is a fantastic module which complements the features of outline designer in expanding on the customisability of the book module. I believe the maintainer of outline designer has previously approached that of outline, suggesting working together. Given tha outline is now abandoned due to disagreement with cvs admin, would you please consider integrating outline functionality with outline designer, creating the ultimate book enhancement module?

I'd be all for it if someone wanted to jump in and help maintain it, working on about 8 modules right now my time is spread a little thin to properly update them all. Anyone want to make this happen, I think it's a fantastic idea.

After reading the queue on that project as to why it got shutdown it seems a bit toxic. I'd still revisit the idea in the future if I see a need but right now the focus is UX.
