The 1.0 release file off the site seems to be corrupted and crashes during decompression. Only a few directories show up compared to the rc1 release. Can someone check that the file is OK or provide an alternate source? Thanks.

I checked this file just a couple of days ago for other reasons and it is working fine for me. Perhaps you should download it again, or try a different decompression program.

(Note that drupal.org packages this file, so if anything this should probably go in the Infrastructure queue)

Thanks for replying. I did finally get it unpacked on a UNIX box. Probably should have tried that first, but I've never had this problem with any other Drupal download and regularly unpack on a variety of Windows or Linux boxes. Odd, huh?

I ran into the same problem downloading 6.x-1.6:

! C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temp\Rar$DI00.156\ctools-6.x-1.6.tar: The archive is corrupt

Since no one else is reporting this problem, that means it's probably on your end. Perhaps the file did not download correctly.
