How can I get the score of a vote up/down comment?

I'm trying to display the comment with the highest score at the top of the page. If anyone knows how to sort comments based on score, that'd also help.

Any help would be appreciated.

Inside "Vote widget settings for comments" you have to mark:

Link display of vote points: display link

If you wanna sort comments by score i think you could use views, or you can make a small a module that does that easily.
