I am wondering if it is possible to modify the block colors.....if you go to my site http://www.smooth-effects.com/Events/Upcoming/index.php .....you will be able to see what i am trying to do. Basically i am trying to make the page black and the text white while the links are either blue or red. also if anyone can help me with mailhandler I would greatly appreciate it.

If you go into the themes/yourtheme directory for the theme you are using, you can modify the yourtheme.css file to suit your needs. Just remember to save a copy of it somewhere so that if you upgrade drupal it won't get overridden.

I understand what you mentioned due to the fact i have already done that and there are still portions of the site that i cant seem to change. I would say i have gotten about 90 percent done....please look at the url http://www.smooth-effects.com/Events/Upcoming/index.php and you will see what i mean. Reason i am trying to do this is cause i would like it to blend in with the rest of the site. Also if anyone can help me with mailhandler I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyone got any ideas?

It looks like these colours are defined in the theme (marvin.theme?) not in the style sheet, but also check misc/drupal.css for the class "user-login-block".

Please read the comments carefully! Droopy already pointed you towards marvin.theme which you obviously seem to have skipped as this file actually contains a lot of color codes, including the ones you're looking for, in the php-code.

Look for instance for the functions comment() and box(), the latter seems to be the one you require for your login box.
