beckyjohnson commentedOk I don't think this is a simple access issue. It's a rebuilding permissions issue. I installed node privacy by role and got the same results. I have no idea what would cause this problem but I am going to post on the general forum now.

gordon commentedInstall the Devel module and turn on the node access stuff. You will also need to turn on the block.
This will then tell you what the settings are for a node, and will tell you if what access has been set. If the node is public then no access will be set.

beckyjohnson commentedBut it's not a node that I'm having problems with, it's a view... I'll try it anyway though.

gordon commentedYes it maybe a view, but the view is selecting nodes and it respects the access which is set by the node access system, so it will remove any nodes which it doesn't have access to.
So in your case all the nodes in the view are not available because of access restrictions. Devel will allow you to see these restrictions.
