Hai,
I am facing a loss in quality when uploading videos. The file is in MPG and is above 200MB so I convert it to FLV, but when I upload to the site there is poor quality. Can you tell why this is happening? Does Kaltura convert optimise the FLV file I am uploading again (to FLV)? It appears to pixelate...
Do you have any recommended work flow or software that can help me uploading in better quality (for conversion to FLV)? Most videos are larger than 200MB without conversion, what do you suggest?
The site is thiruma.net (its in tamil language) here is the kaltura videos link http://www.thiruma.net/kaltura/entries. I asked in Kaltura Fourms, but there is no reply, its urgent.
Thanks,
Radix

Zohar.Babin commentedBeen answered and addressed in Kaltura.org forums. For specific video related or Kaltura related discussions see http://www.kaltura.org/.
This is based on Kaltura CE version 1.5 and has been addressed in the software too as new features and new conversion mechanism.
If you're still using version 1.5, either upgrade to 2.x and above or if you already have FLV, check the "bypass conversion for FLV" option.
