The handbook page on 6.x->7.x updating should mention the changes to theme_pager.

$limit 'The number of query results to display per page' has been removed. In most cases, simply removing this parameter is adequate.

We normally keep docs issues with the issue itself so it can never be closed until the docs are actually on the page. The workflow is a bit crappy, but for now no need to open separate docs issues, so closing this as duplicate.
