Extended views (exposed)filter options

Greetings!

I need a way to only select month in the views filter, instead of time granularity.
The filter only needs the month input, and the rest of the date is practically irrelevant.

I see no possible way to do this now, but having this ability would be awesome!

Adding these features should probably be created as separate views filters where:
1) In filter settings, you selected year/month/day/time
2) and then selected which date field it should filter by.
- Only a simple drop-down-list (/multiple select field) is really needed.
- If more options (like both year and time of day) are needed, just add another field of the same type.
