Allow content loading on slide display (AJAX)

This is one of a handful of excellent slideshow modules. However, for it to be useful for me the content must not be pre-loaded on page load, but fetched during the block update using AJAX. I think many other people would welcome it as well - there have been several questions related to that in the issue queue and notably at http://drupal.org/node/418616.

Do you have any plans to implement this soon or is it not worth waiting? If you are working on it, I would gladly help testing, provide feedback, etc.
