In quiz.admin.inc, at line 426, the SQL select statement uses "node" as the shorthand for the node table. This causes an error when using i18n and searching for questions to add to a quiz. It looks like i18n automatically looks for n.language, and thus fails as the shorthand is node.language. Hopefully that all makes sense.
I have created a patch to change quiz's shorthand to the "standard" shorthand: n for {node} and r for {node_revisions}.
The patch is against the April 27 3.x-dev release.
