I have unchecked all the visibility settings (note: picture 5.png) with the hopes that the file dropdown will stop appearing (setting File - Show a file with a drop-down contextual menu., amongst others). However, the settings do not appear to affect embedded files. (Note: picture 7.png). This could be related to #435864: File options not appearing. Being listed as "array". Thoughts?

Tested with Zen and Garland--no difference. Cache was cleared and I am not using internationalization. Drupal 6.10

Issue tags: -embed +file_embed

The settings you have unchecked affects only file node page, not files embedded into other nodes. When you embed a file, you can choose available preview option by choosing a "Handler".

From your picture I can see that the css file was not loaded, this is a bug and I will address it.
