Ecommerce integration certificate display.

Can anyone offer any advice for using the signup ecommerce integration module with signup status. I cant seem to trigger the certificate being available on the node once the transaction is complete. Tested using COD and credit card test. Signup pay will allow you to select a different status other than the default (which when i do that successfully displays the certificate).
When i manually change the status to another besides the default registered i can trigger the certificate - this is not what i want though. It seems my default registered wont trigger the certificate when i corectly configure it to.
