Convert nodes with Amazontools data to CCK content types

Hi,

users of "Image" module have developed a conversion script that migrates image nodes to a CCK content type with "Imagefield" module. Has someone tried something similar with Amazontools(AAT) nodes?

Data from the abandoned AAT module can be embedded into two module-specific nodetypes ("amazon_node", "amazon"), attached to other nodes (through /admin/content/types), or included into a CCK "Amazon" field (ASIN field module, provides an "ISBN/ASIN" field for CCK). That sounds pretty similar to the Image conversion process, but is far beyond my coding skills. Is this possible? How much work would it be?
